African and Caribbean Diaspora Table

Amplifying the voices of African and Caribbean communities in Surrey.

To support the Surrey LIP’s work, this roundtable brings the lived experiences and perspectives of the African and Caribbean communities forward, offering the council updates, information and input.

The African and Caribbean Diaspora Table (ACDT) is a volunteer engagement roundtable for community members who want to amplify the voices of Black people living in Surrey, BC.

The Surrey Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) is seeking committed, enthusiastic members to serve on our African and Caribbean Diaspora Table. Join a vibrant group of advocates, community leaders and contributors to share your lived experience, learn and grow in a safe and welcoming environment, and inform the Surrey LIP council on issues important to the Black community living in Surrey.

Want to join? Eligibility requirements include:

  • Member of African diaspora in Surrey
  • Available for monthly meetings and working group dialogues
  • Passionate about serving the community
