National Research: A study explores Canadian democracy through the eyes of 2,300 new Canadians

In a recently published study, the Institute for Canadian Citizenship explored how new Canadians express their political engagement through various practices. The project, Ballots and Belonging , was guided by five questions aiding to understand the nature of political engagement for new Canadians. The great deal of participants (64%) believed it was important for them to vote and make their voices heard.
