Immigrants Civic Engagement in Metro Vancouver: Community-based Research
Tuesday, February 12, 2019

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and the University of British Columbia are collaborating on a study that explores participation and disengagement among immigrants to Canada. We want to develop a plan of interventions to make politics interesting, relevant and engaging in the everyday lives of immigrants, and to help community leaders mobilize as many as possible.

We are conducting confidential interviews. In particular, we are seeking input from newcomers to Canada, as well as community organizers. If you participate in our research project, all information you will be provide will be anonymized. In appreciation for the time you take to participate in the study, you will receive a $35 gift card.  Interpretation and support in other languages is available, if needed.

If you are a newcomer to Canada, or a community organizer with an immigrant background, we would like to learn from your experiences, positive and negative. We provide a token of appreciation in the form of a $35 gift card. We are also seeking input from politicians of immigrant background. If you'd like to participate in our research project, please let us know.
