Community Involvement:

I’m a volunteer at DiverseCity.

Interest in the Advisory:

I want to be able to contribute in my own way to a better Surrey.  I strongly believe in giving back to the community. I like working with newcomers and helping them to settle easier and build a stronger future in Canada.

Immigrant Challenges:

Adapting to a  new country is not easy.  One of the biggest challenges for immigrants is recognition of qualifications and experience.  Immigrants bring with them skills and knowledge that can positively contribute to the society, however educational and professional credentials are often not recognized by Canadian institutions and employers.

Vision for Surrey:

My vision for Surrey is to be one of the most vibrant, exciting and livable cities in Canada.  A caring community where people feel safe, happy and respected.

Joined Surrey IAR: 2018. Treasurer, since November 2018
