Community Event: Making Space: How to create safer workplaces for racialized women

March 8 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Welcome to Making Space: How to create safer workplaces for racialized women! Join City in Colour Cooperative on Fri, Mar 08, 2024 at 4:30 PM at 13485 Central Ave for an insightful event discussing ways to promote safety and inclusivity for racialized women in the workplace hosted by City in Colour Cooperative.

On International Women’s Day, we cordially invite you to celebrate the launch of our workbook titled ‘How to create safer and inclusive workplaces for racialized women.’ This workbook is the result of our 3 years project ‘Towards a Feminist City of Surrey’ where we explored the hiring, retention and upward mobility of racialized women.

This event aims to provide a platform for open dialogue, learning, and growth. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and network with like-minded women and contribute to a more equitable work environment.

Jamaican and Swahili homestyle food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served to all guests by Coast 2 Coast catering. Vegetarian and vegan options will be provided.

This event is possible thanks to the support of Women and Gender Equality Canada, SAFE Surrey Anti-Gang Family Empowerment Program and Solid State Community Industries.

See you there!
