Job Title:  Web Design Contractor

Status:  Contract – 1 month

Wage: $10,000

Start Date:  ASAP

End Date: March 31, 2021

We are currently recruiting for the role of Web Design Contractor to work with our Surrey Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) project team in Surrey, BC. 

The key areas of responsibility are:

  • Develop and re-design a fully functional website in collaboration with DIVERSEcitys’ marketing team including but not limited to development of theme, architecture and content of website;
  • Develop a Services Map plugin feature based on the current website plugin, improving user experience and accessibility;
  • Ensure a seamless transition of the current website and its content using existing domain and host;
  • Work with the Surrey LIP Project Communications Support to ensure the website is designed in accessible and user friendly way.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Relevant education in Web Development or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and designing websites and online content (preferably in a community development context);
  • Knowledge of immigrant and refugee communities, organizations and service providers within the Circle 5 area (Surrey/Delta/ White Rock Region) an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
