The Surrey LIP is now accepting applications for the Refugee Youth Planning Team!
Wednesday, September 13, 2017

This is a leadership opportunity for refugee youth from ages 14 - 22 living in Surrey to work together to host a youth event.

Applicants should be available for meetings on Fridays (bi-weekly or monthly) from 5 pm – 7 pm starting in October and going until the end of January.

Meetings and events will take place in the Surrey City Centre (in Surrey City Hall or City Centre Library), easily accessible by Surrey Central Skytrain station.

The planning team will plan and host a Intercultural Dialogue event, taking place late January.

The event will engage immigrant and refugee youth and Indigenous youth in a dialogue to speak about their experiences and how to create allyship between the communities.

If you would like to contribute your ideas, further develop your skills, and connect with community members, apply today to join the Surrey Refugee Youth Planning Team.
