New English Program for Refugee Youth
Thursday, October 5, 2017

A new English Program for Refugee Youth is launching this month in Surrey.

Starting October 14, Options Community Services will be offering English classes to refugee youth between 16-30 years old. Participants will have the opportunity to learn English through youth-relevant themes, such as healthy relationships, stress management, financial literacy, in a supportive learning environment.

The English program will be offered to four cohorts of refugee youth – two cohorts for youth aged 16-19 and two cohorts for youth aged 20-30. Each cohort will include 12 participants and run for 10 Saturdays between October 2017 and March 2018.

Thank you to the Surrey Refugee Youth Team for helping to design the program, and to the Community Foundations of Canada for financial support.

To register for the program, or for more information, contact Brandon Koo, Literacy Skills Instructor, Options Community Services, at brandon.koo@options.bc.ca or (604) 572-4060.
