Call For Immigrants To Participate in Employer Dialogues

Surrey Board of Trade in partnership with Surrey LIP and support of Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC) and other organizations is organizing a series of innovative sector-based Employer-Immigrant Dialogues.

The Dialogues to explore the following topics:

  • Opportunities and challenges of the industry in Surrey
  • Industry best practices
  • Innovative labour solutions
  • Success stories – share and inspire
  • Industry skill needs
  • Industry Essential skills

Ten employers and ten immigrants will be involved in each brainstorming/learning session to identify innovative approaches to address employer skill shortages and immigrant labour market challenges in a particular business sector.

All the events will take place at Surrey Board of Trade office from 8 a.m to 10 a.m. (registration, networking and breakfast are at 7:30 a.m.).
