Call for Expressions of Interest: English Program for Refugee Youth
Thursday, September 7, 2017

The Surrey Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) has received $20,000 from the Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) to develop an intensive series of English language classes for refugee youth in Surrey. We are now looking for one or more Surrey LIP members / partners to develop an English language program for refugee youth, or to build on an existing program within their organization.

The purpose of the program is:

  • To enhance English language training that youth may (or may not) already be receiving through formal government-funded systems (e.g. school district, LINC) as a means of accelerating their integration into the Canadian education system / community
  • To provide young refugees with a safe, youth-friendly space to learn and connect with other refugee and Canadian-born youth

Please find more information and application form at: Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI). The deadline for submission is Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm.
