Community Involvement:

I volunteered for the Surrey Library Champion Program and Surrey Crime Prevention Society.

Interest in the Advisory:

I became interested in the Advisory Roundtable because I really enjoy helping new immigrants. I believe it’s very meaningful to the society we are living in and to me as well. I would like to find my career in the immigration field.

Immigrant challenges:

One of the biggest challenges for immigrants in Canada is how to fit into the new society culturally and emotionally. Lots of the new immigrants find themselves disconnected with the new society.

Vision for Surrey:

I believe Surrey will be great in 10 years. There are about 1,000 new immigrants come to Surrey every month.  There is great room for improvement for the services for new immigrants.
