Fast-changing Neighbourhoods: Is our instinct to preserve Canadian culture preventing us from building inclusive neighbourhoods?
March 2
City Centre Library, Surrey

Join in for a discussion on how our fears about our changing social landscape may be threatening our sense of what it means to be Canadian.  Is it possible to preserve Canadian culture, or is it better to accept that it is ever-changing? Is there an invisible social-power war when it comes to racial inclusivity? We want to hear your stories of how things were, how they are, and how you would like them to be.  We hope to hear from long-term residents and newcomers on these important matters of adjusting to quick-changing social norms, noise & congestion, culture & identity, acceptance, and finding common ground.
