Career Education & Settlement Immigrant Fair
November 9
Vancouver Convention Centre East

New to Canada? You’re not alone. The fifth annual Vancouver Career, Education & Settlement Immigrant Fair is here to help you in your journey.

  • November  9, 2017
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
  • Vancouver Convention Centre East (999 Canada Place)
  • Free admission

This expo for internationally trained professionals, newcomers and foreign-born workers and students includes a diverse tradeshow of exhibitors, including several hiring employers like RBC, Algaecal Inc., Lush Cosmetics and Hudson’s Bay, and more. The tradeshow promises to be the largest one yet, with information on everything from careers, to continuing education, to mortgages, to immigration help.

Also, don’t miss the great lineup of speakers, including Canadian Immigrant columnist Silvia Di Blasio, who will share tips on making the most of self-employment and freelancing.  Plus, if you have a financial background, attend the session on becoming a CPA by CPA-BC. Catherine Steele is back with her popular English pronunciation class. For more accent reduction help, Patrick Byrne of L2 Accent Reduction will host his own interactive workshop, following a new networking café run by RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Trish Mandewo. Top it off with resumé help from ISSofBC and a homebuying workshop.

Plus, if you’re here temporarily but want to become a permanent resident, get the immigration information you need from workshops on Express Entry and the BC PNP.
