  • May 2017: Organizing Newcomer Welcoming event: Everyone in Surrey Belongs! at the Fleetwood Community Centre. Attended by 100 local residents.
  • April 2017: As a part of the Community Committee, organizing a special Citizenship Ceremony at City Hall attended by 200 people.
  • April 2017: Participating in the Surrey LIP meeting with Minister Hussen
  • Spring 2017: Delivering donations from City staff to refugee families in Surrey.
  • Spring 2017: Participating in Business Sector Dialogues. 
  • Fall 2016: Four Inclusive City Philosopher Cafe moderated by IAR members. 
  • July 20, 2016: Hosting activities at Surrey Welcomes Refugees event attended by 500 residents. IAR led the Human Library activity.
  • March-May 2016: Training sessions to City staff. IAR member presented on the Middle East culture. Attended by 110 City staff members.
  • April 2016: Neighbours Helping Neighbours: info session for Arabic-speaking newcomers. 40 attended
  • September 25, 2015: Organizing and hosting a Surrey Centre Block Party at City Hall Plaza. Attended by 200 local residents and engaging 15 community partners.
  • June 15, 2015: Hosting a petition booth at City Hall on Refugee Day.
